Can I donate an e-bike?
Chain Reaction accepts limited brands of high-quality e-bikes.
We accept complete class 1 & class 3 e-bikes with battery, charger and any required keys/accessories from these brands: Aventon, Benno, Cannondale, Electra, Gazelle, Giant, Kona, Liv, Momentum, Salsa, Specialized, Trek, Velotric
We do not accept other brands, including:
No adapted e-bikes (self-wired and installed batteries, gas motors, etc.)
No scooters of any kind.
No partial e-bike systems (bike without charger or battery)
Why? Low-quality e-bikes can pose serious safety and health risks to riders and the larger community. Non-UL listed batteries are not safe to store, and Chain Reaction has to pay to dispose of e-bike batteries.
Safety and serviceability are our top priorities.
