FTWN (femme/trans/women/nonbinary) Event - let’s ride!
Calling all women/femme/trans/nb folks that have not biked ever / as an adult / in years, or just want to get more comfortable with biking basics.
Join us for a hands-on workshop where we’ll demystify the basics of biking - led by our FTWN crew.
We’ll cover:
✅ Bike Setup - basic bike fit, seat height, lights, tire air
✅ Shifting basics - when to shift, how to shift, types of equipment
✅ Communication - hand signals, verbal signals to indicate your planned route
✅ Q&A - anything that’s on your mind - sore rears, favorite routes, frugal gear, anything
✅ Group ride - a 2-mile loop to practice signals, shifting, and try out the things we’ve learned
If you have a bike - bring it! It's okay if it's got some dust on it - this is a no judgment zone. We’ll have volunteers that can help you set up and walk through the functions of your bike. If you don’t have a bike, let us know and we’ll borrow you one from the hub.
Space is limited to 20 participants, so register here!
This class is FREE to the community. Any questions, please reach out to us at volunteer@crbikehub.org
Sorry fellas, this event is limited to women/femme/trans/nb volunteers and participants.
