Calling all women/femme/trans/nb folks - are you ready to ride your bike to school or work? Let’s learn some commuting basics and share a 3-5 mile group ride.
In this hands-on workshop we’ll work through the basics of bike commuting.
We’ll cover:
✅ Bike Setup - basic bike fit, tire pressure
✅ Bike Gear - lights, bags/panniers, locks, rain gear, bike repair kits (and where to learn those skills)
✅ Riding basics on trail and road - communication signals, tips to navigate traffic
✅ Q&A - anything that’s on your mind - commuting clothes, frugal gear, best routes to get from your home to work
✅ Group ride - a 3-5 mile loop around town to see some city trails and bike lanes.
If you have a bike - bring it! It's okay if it's got some dust on it - this is a no judgment zone. We’ll have volunteers that can help you set up and walk through the functions of your bike. If you don’t have a bike, let us know so that you can borrow one from the hub.
Space is limited to 20 participants, so register here!
This class is FREE to the community. If you would like to donate to Chain Reaction for attending the class, we’d suggest a $10 donation.
